TAB100: Data Visualization with Tableau - Introduction

Tableau has emerged as a leader in data visualization. Tableau users have the ability to use data analytics to turn massive amounts of data into visualizations that can be seen and understood. Tableau’s Data Engine has the ability to translate actions into ad hoc queries and graphically express the responses very quickly. In this 2-day course students learn to connect to data, navigate the Tableau interface, build and format visualizations, and build interactive dashboards.  Other topics include Tableau Architecture, Filters, Graphs, Maps, Table Calculations, and Aggregating data.

TAB200: Data Visualization with Tableau - Advanced

This 3-day instructor led course will expand Tableau Desktop knowledge into intermediate and advanced levels. Participants will learn more in-depth Tableau features and increasingly sophisticated charting approaches to solve more demanding data visualization requirements. The primary audience for this course consists of anyone in an organization or company who wishes to perform personal data analysis on a cloud or on premise data source. Participants DO NOT need an IT background to be successful with Tableau. At course completion, participants will be able to analyze data using more advanced Tableau techniques, such as advanced calculations, table calculations, parameters, advanced mapping techniques (including custom background images), animation with motion charts, and highly interactive dashboards. Data visualization best practices will be emphasized throughout the course.
