Our "Fast Track to the PMP® Certification" course can help with your exam preparations and covers content from two of our most important PM classes. First, you will cover the content from PMM100 Project Management Essentials which will expose you to the processes in the PMBOK® Guide and cover what to expect on the exam. Then students will take PMM800 Project Management Professional (PMP)® Review/Test Prep where you will drill-down into content, practice test questions and finalize your study for the PMP® exam.
Project Management is the use of principles, techniques and tools to execute projects effectively and efficiently. For most organizations it is a necessary competency which allows them to reach business goals via project deliverables. This 3-day course uses lecture, discussion and case studies to provide an overview of project management concepts and principles. Topics include the Project Management Framework, Process Groups, and Knowledge Areas. Specific issues such as project authority, leadership skills, and stakeholder communication strategies will also be covered.
This course provides a comprehensive review of A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide), the current exam content outline, and the certification process. Students will find this helpful in preparing for the Project Management Professional (PMP)® certification exam or the Certified Associate of Project Management (CAPM)® certification exam or in the solidification of their knowledge and understanding of project management processes and content. Other topics include the PMP®/CAPM® Requirements, PMP®/CAPM® Application and Testing processes as well as key test topics, such as project integration, time, cost, quality, communication and risk.
The Center's project management classes offer professional development units (PDUs) and satisfy the Project Management Institute's (PMI)® classroom requirements for the Project Management Professional (PMP)® certification.
