Course Description

This course is designed to introduce students to the financial planning process. Students who successfully complete the entire program successfully will fulfill the Certified Financial Planner™ Board of Standards educational requirement for CFP® Certification Examination. This certificate program has been established to meet the need for professionals who are able to plan, assess and evaluate a client's financial future through the development of a comprehensive financial plan. The program's courses are taught by financial services professionals who will provide the latest information available in a variety of financial planning areas, including general principles, insurance planning, investment planning, income tax planning, retirement planning, and estate planning.

Module 1: General Principles

Module 2: Insurance Planning

Module 3: Investment Planning

Module 4: Income Tax

Module 5: Retirement Planning

Module 6: Estate Planning

Module 7: Capstone


Students should have acquired knowledge in accounting, financial calculator protocol, finance, and economics, through extensive job experience.  Students are presented with real-world experiences along with the curriculum.
