Course Description

Business Process Modeling (BPM) is the activity of representing a process in its current state, allowing the process to be analyzed and improved in the future. BPM uses a set of technologies and standards for the design, execution, administration, and monitoring of business processes. The business process is the flow of activities, usually represented by boxes each depicting some type of work, toward some business goal. Topics include the need for modeling business processes, modeling methods, business process modeling notation (BPMN), context diagramming, functional decomposition, and verification of models.
