Furthermore, assertiveness can have instant results when people take action and implement change. This course will provide practical tools for assertiveness in communication specific to the IT Industry, and unveil techniques to choose and use the most appropriate words and emotional tone for every business situation. Through role-plays and highly interactive exercises, students will learn how to handle receiving and giving feedback and address business etiquette where professionalism and assertiveness are required. Each student will assess their areas of strength and potential growth in creating a more assertive communication style by completing the EPIC Coping and Stress online profile. Expect an overall enhancement of assertiveness skills for immediate on-the-job use.
