Bootcamp | 30 hours | 3.0 CEUs | $3,295

This course will prepare students to become a certified Risk Management Professional by covering the exam content and teaching key skills through hands-on practice. It provides a comprehensive review of The Standard for Risk Management in Portfolios, Programs and Projects, the current exam content outline, and the certification process. Students will find this helpful in preparing for the Risk Management Professional (PMI-RMP)® certification exam or in the mastering of risk-related concepts as well as how to plan and monitor risk throughout a project. This course is also good for PMP Professionals that want to advance their knowledge of risk management and earn PDUs.

The Center's project management classes offer professional development units (PDUs). As a PMI Registered Education Provider (R.E.P.), Saint Louis University Workforce Center has been approved by PMI to issue PDUs for our courses.

Learner Outcomes

  • Describe and Understand each of the Risk Processes, their purpose and objectives, critical success factors, use of tools and techniques, and documentation of process results
  • Learn to use best-practices for managing risks
  • Understand Risk Management principles and techniques and how they apply to the day-to-day management of projects and operations
  • Prepare and learn tips and tricks to facilitate passing the PMI-RMP certification exam
  • Understand the application process of the PMI-RMP exam and the exam process
  • Review the content needed to pass the PMI-RMP Certification exam
  • Learn to use all tools and techniques to better manage projects and related risks
  • Employ appropriate methods to handle project changes and understand how certain changes may affect other aspects of the project (i.e. risks)
  • Be more focused and proactive about preventing problems and taking advantage of opportunities

Additional Information

PMI-RMP ® Testing Requirements:

  • Secondary degree (high school diploma, associate’s degree, or the global equivalent)
  • 4,500 hours of project risk management experience
  • 40 hours of project risk management education

OR

  • Four-year degree (bachelor’s degree or the global equivalent)
  • 3,000 hours of project risk management experience
  • 30 hours of project risk management education

Prerequisites

PMM100: Project Management Essentials or equivalent experience.
